I tried all other shop all around the Lakes Entrance but this one caught my attention .They got fresh fish in the town they have friendly staff also they great costumer service. I highly recommend this shop for all the tourist like me and also other new guys in the town to give a try.
We had the "sea food for 2" pack, and it was just right! Good amount, good flavours. Too oily, as expected (but you can ask for it to be grilled instead).Price is pretty standard.They also have souvenirs and other items for sale which is peculiar but kinda cool.
I had one of the best grilled fish here! I will definitely go back for that grilled fish.
Fried Flake was very fresh with a thin and crispy batter. Chips were thick and juicy but not overly oily. Potato cakes also good. Steer clear of fish cakes and chiko rolls.
They sell fish caught from their own trawler. Doesn't get much fresher than that. Cooked properly as well. I recommend the gummy (shark) and the flathead tails especially. There are other locally caught fish available from time to time, always worth a try. I suggest not trying anything not caught by them, not that there is anything wrong with it, but eating fresh is what the Lakes Entrance experience is all about.
